Trusting your neighborhood is almost as crucial to your home's safety as a security system. Some people don't realize the importance of creating a trustworthy relationship with your neighbors because you just never know when you might need them, and vice versa. Even if your home never gets broken into, neighbors are great for things like leaving your keys when going out of town instead of hiding them under floor mats and other outdoor hiding spots. Neighbors are also helpful with collecting and keeping track of your mail while you're gone. Mail accumulations only ensure burglars that you’re out of town and therefore your house is empty. It's always good to see neighborhoods that come together and create a watch program in which all residents become actively engaged in. By looking out for your community, residents can benefit from another creative way to keep the burglars away.
